Purpose and Record Sources
Nebraska makes some arrest and criminal-history information public, but that does not mean every record appears on one county webpage. Adams County's Sheriff's Office, which identifies John Rust as sheriff, has a different role from the Justice Center and the county's public-records request route. The county links its custody-search and notification route through NEVCAP, posts sheriff activity in weekly media releases, and routes a specific record request to the responsible department. The Adams County Jail is associated with the Justice Center, while Nebraska Department of Correctional Services records belong to a different state-custody system. Court information supplies the later case history after booking.
The goal is to keep those roles clear. A custody status, a weekly press report, a booking record, an identification photo, and a court disposition are different records with different custodians. This service collects the official routes and request details, not the records themselves.
