Information You Provide
Search entries
A name or location entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. Adams County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
Messages sent through an available contact channel may be kept to answer the request or maintain the correspondence. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Data
When a page is opened, standard service and analytics systems may receive technical information needed to operate, secure, and understand the service.
- Internet protocol address.
- Browser type and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- Referring page, when available.
- Visit date and time.
Cookies
Cookies may be used to understand use of the service and remember basic settings. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, although some features may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
Technical and submitted information may be used to operate the service, route a search request to its provider, assess which pages are useful, diagnose faults, and display advertising that may be relevant to a visitor's interests.
External Services and Links
The service links to official sheriff, jail, court, corrections, and records-request resources, along with certain outside search services. Adams County examples include the Sheriff's Office page for Sheriff John Rust, the Justice Center, and the county public-records route; Nebraska Department of Correctional Services has its own state-custody system. Once a visitor follows an external link, that destination's privacy practices govern the visit. Advertising partners may also measure activity across sites on their own systems for interest-based advertising.
Parties That May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold. It may be processed or disclosed when necessary to the following parties.
- Search partners handling a submitted query.
- Analytics providers that help measure service use.
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal demand.
Security Practices
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information. No internet-connected system can promise absolute security, however, and no method of transmission or storage is guaranteed breach-proof.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may request its deletion through the contact route.
Privacy Choices
A visitor may ask to learn what personal information is held, correct inaccurate information, request deletion where applicable, or opt out of certain processing. Requests may be sent through Contacts.
Policy Changes
This policy may change as the service changes or legal requirements develop. Any revision will be posted here with an updated effective date.
